CommunityWALK Creative Arts Foundation brings creatives together across Northern Uganda, building the community, skills, markets and opportunities that help creative work grow into stronger livelihoods — from cultural heritage and creative enterprise to financial inclusion through WALK SACCO.
WALK Creative Arts Foundation brings together creatives across West Nile, Acholi, Lango and Karamoja. We work across nine creative domains to strengthen opportunities, skills, livelihoods and the contribution of the creative sector to Northern Uganda's social and economic development.
WALK connects creatives across West Nile, Acholi, Lango and Karamoja, bringing together different cultures, creative disciplines and economic opportunities across Northern Uganda.
Northern Uganda has deep creative talent, cultural heritage and a growing generation of artists and creative entrepreneurs. Yet many creatives still work without strong networks, reliable access to finance, professional development, market connections or clear pathways into wider economic opportunities. WALK was created to bring creatives together, strengthen their voice and build practical opportunities that help creative work contribute to stronger livelihoods and the development of the region.
Our work responds to the practical barriers facing creatives, from access to finance and professional skills to markets, cultural preservation and sustainable livelihoods.
